I've stayed and ate here on two successive years in June. The cabins are rustic and large with an ensuite bathroom. It's located on the Dalton Highway near the end of the paved section. The photos below show the views across the street from the Tangle River Inn. It's a scenic, serene and very quiet location. The home cooked meals in the restaurant are delicious and we got to meet the legendary Nadine. I even filled up my gas tanks at their gas pump. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stopped in for breakfast after we left the Tangle Lakes campground. Good food and decent service considering one lady was running the whole show (serving, cooking and running the register for restaurant and gas station). The food was good and the pancakes are EXCELLENT. Great restaurant, location, and wonderful owners. Perfect for a good meal or even local fishing tips. Definitely recommend if you happen to be in the area! Really good food, friendly staff. Have stopped by many times, and always had a good experience. Stopped there twice over the last several years hoping the first time was somebody's bad day, nope. Have lived in Alaska close to 20 years, some of the rudest people I've encountered on the road, apparently they feel confident as the only show in town on their little stretch of the highway, thankfully we had an rv well stocked with food and drink and simply walked out. Do not recommend to anyone unless you are near death and need sustenance.
